The Trust Point Young Professionals (TPYP) met in Minneapolis on Tuesday, August 6th for their third quarterly event of 2024. Each quarter, members of the Young Professionals group gather to spend a day giving back to their communities and gaining professional development skills.
The group started their day by volunteering with Feed My Starving Children in Eagan, MN. Together, the Young Professionals (along with some other friendly volunteers), worked to pack over 100 boxes of meals for children in Haiti – enough to feed 61 kiddos one meal a day for an entire year.
The remainder of the day was spent at the River Place building in Minneapolis, where members had the opportunity to hear about a real-life example of “Staying Curious” that Trust Point’s own Tyler Marson shared with the group. From there, members focused on identifying projects and tasks that involve folks from every department at Trust Point. This gave everyone the opportunity to fully understand how internal processes are completed and how many people participate in a single project through teamwork. It was eye-opening to be curious and see how many people are involved in various tasks.
Following the workflow activities and learning sessions, TPYP members were given the opportunity to tour the recently remodeled Trust Point Minneapolis Office. They were greeted with brightly lit spaces, updated conference rooms, and communal working areas.
The TPYP Group concluded their day by spending a brief period on the TPYP Long Range Plan. Goal group leaders from every initiative were given the opportunity to provide the group with updates on current goals and future ideas. Exciting new ideas are in the works!
