Trust Point places a strong value on educating, supporting, and empowering the emerging leaders of our team to continue to grow—especially those who may not have decades of experience to draw from. The Trust Point Young Professionals (TPYP) group helps cultivate leadership, connection, and purpose across our organization through quarterly gatherings, volunteering, and on ongoing projects. Check out the latest TPYP news below.
Since the Trust Point Young Professionals Group was founded in 2018, it has made quite an impact on those involved. The program is all about helping Trust Point team members under the age of 35 grow their skills in a supportive, professional environment.
Mission Statement: Cultivate Future Leaders
Vision Statement: To Provide an Environment That Fosters Connections, Growth, and Opportunities
With each quarter comes a new workshop day where the Young Professionals meet offsite to build their leadership skills. Topics of focus have included the following:
TPYP workshops don’t stop at leadership skill-building — they also focus on community involvement, a value at the heart of Trust Point. From helping non-profits in our communities clean their facilities to packaging meal kits, these group volunteer activities give members the chance to network, collaborate as a team, give back to the community, and often learn something new along the way. TPYP members have gathered to volunteer over 675 hours to local organizations since the group was founded in 2018.
The TPYP events are some of the most valuable examples I have of a great company culture and allowing us to get to know each other better to foster our company culture through more networking at the TPYP quarterly event days vs daily work tasks.
I feel that I’ve grown tremendously as a leader. TPYP has given me opportunities that I otherwise wouldn’t have had. I’ve been challenged to grow and think about things from a different perspective.
I have had the opportunity work on a lot of soft skills through TPYP. Working with my long-range plan goal group and meeting with my mentor allowed to me leverage networking, communication, and teamwork skills.
