Community involvement is a key value at Trust Point. Four Trust Point team members who exemplify our community-building culture share their experiences in volunteerism, why it is important to them and how it ultimately contributes to a better client experience.
Jason Munz | CTFA, Vice President, Eau Claire
I believe our communities give back tenfold what we put into them. If we invest in others, in giving back to the people and places where we live and work, it benefits everyone. For those reasons, I feel compelled to be engaged and it helps that Trust Point not only supports that engagement, but also makes it the foundation of how we do business. I take pride in that, and I think my colleagues do, too. That employee satisfaction leads to better work, longer tenure and the ability to make more meaningful client connections.

I believe in leaving the world in a little better place than you found it, and I strive to do that every day. When I made the decision to join Trust Point after 12 years with the Boys & Girls Club of Greater Chippewa Valley, Trust Point talked a lot about culture, community and giving back, and how it encouraged employees to do that. Now that I’ve been here for almost five years, not only has the company met those expectations, it has exceeded them. As much as our schedules allow, we give back, serve our passions, and do what we can to improve the lives of those who call Eau Claire and the Chippewa Valley home. We recognize that the reason we have been successful for over a century is based on one very simple guiding philosophy, which is that if we are doing what is right for our clients, we are doing what is right for Trust Point. That philosophy extends to the communities in which we live, work, and serve. We strongly believe in supporting the communities that support us, doing our part to give back and help our communities thrive and be a great place to live and raise a family.

Samuel Lindner | WMS™, Relationship Manager
I am a proud La Crosse native. Trust Point was a natural fit, given its positive culture and commitment to giving back to the community. As a member of the Trust Point Young Professionals,
I have opportunities throughout the year to volunteer. Engaging with the community and finding organizations that can benefit from our help has been a rewarding experience. We are constantly striving to enhance the group experience and promote mutual development. For example, we offer chances for members to assume leadership positions and manage community
initiatives. Our members’ confidence and knowledge have significantly grown, and it has enhanced our interactions with both clients and colleagues.

As a founding member of the Trust Point Young Professionals, it’s been really amazing to see how far we’ve come, starting with quarterly initiatives to now having a long-term plan and so many opportunities for growth. To see the difference we’ve been able to make through our efforts, whether it’s lending a hand at the Boys & Girls Club or cleaning and organizing at the Children’s Museum, has been really rewarding. When you get 20 to 25 volunteers together for a couple of hours, you can accomplish so much, especially for some of the smaller
organizations, and it means a lot to them. My involvement in Trust Point Young Professionals has helped me grow professionally and personally and the relationships that myself and my colleagues have developed with each other and with the community are so important. To have people in your corner and to be in theirs — it elevates everyone.
