Trust Point Young Professionals Embrace Challenges at Q4 2026 Event

TPYP Q4 Event

The Trust Point Young Professionals (TPYP) group met in La Crosse on Monday, October 12th for their fourth quarter 2026 event. The theme for this quarter’s meeting was Embracing Challenges.

Volunteering at Aptiv, Inc.

To start the day, the TPYP group volunteered at Aptiv. Aptiv is an organization that supports many adults and children with various disabilities. After arriving at Aptiv, the group split up to help with various tasks including detailing vans and organizing the art supply room. The group was able to connect with their community and give back.

Judy Corbett Workforce Readiness Center Tour

After volunteering, the TPYP group headed to the Boys and Girls Club of Greater La Crosse. After getting settled into the Trust Point Foundation Financial Futures Center, Teigen Meiners, Director of Workforce Readiness, gave the group a tour of the space. They were able to see how the Boys and Girls Club helps serve so many kids in the local community and, with the new space, help them learn and be prepared for the world after school.

Celebrating Success

During a working lunch, the group celebrated the graduations of Berek Weingart and Brett Sebion, who completed their time in the program. They shared their favorite parts of TPYP, how it helped them grow, and a little background on where they started and how they got to where they are now. Paige Altmann was also congratulated on completing her role as Chair and showed gratitude for everything she has done for the TPYP group in the last two years.

Thinking Like a CEO

Then the group heard from Brian Koopman, Erica Rytilahi, and Randy Van Rooyen. Together they shared real-life situations they have faced throughout their careers at Trust Point. Without revealing their solutions, they opened the floor for discussion, allowing the group to ask questions, explore different perspectives, and share how they would have handled each situation. After each discussion, they revealed the decisions they made and the outcomes. This gave valuable insight into the decision-making that comes with being a leader.

Leadership Panel

During the day, the TPYP group also participated in an interactive panel discussion with Brian Koopman, Beth Hoven, Angela Stangman, and Luke Raymer. Group members were able to ask questions about embracing challenges, the theme for the event. The panelists shared their experiences navigating various challenges throughout their careers and emphasized the importance of relying on the teams they work with and maintaining a positive mindset. Hearing their stories allowed the group to learn from their experiences and think about how they can approach challenges with resilience, confidence, and a willingness to grow.

Finding New Ways to Communicate

To end the day, TPYP members participated in an activity that challenged them to think outside the box. Standing in two circles, they had one minute to communicate an action, sentence, or word to a partner without speaking or using gestures, depending on the card. After each round, they rotated to a new partner, repeating the challenge about 10 times. This activity encouraged them to get creative, adapt their communication styles, and embrace the challenge of finding new ways to connect with others.

It is an honor that leadership allows TPYP members to have a day of growth each quarter during their quarterly events.
