Trust Point Gives $10,000 in Gift Cards to Health Care Workers
Donation recognizes efforts of frontline staff and others fighting the COVID-19 pandemic
LA CROSSE, Wis., December 15, 2020 — As a small expression of appreciation for the selfless work of health care employees fighting COVID-19, Trust Point Inc. is donating $10,000 in Kwik Trip gift cards to hospital staff in its communities.
The La Crosse-based wealth management company delivered 2,000 $5 Kwik Trip gift cards to hospitals in its home city and in Eau Claire and Minneapolis, where it has additional offices.
“This year, health care workers have gone above and beyond, risking their own health and safety in helping to keep our communities safe from this horrific pandemic,” Said Kent Handel, Trust Point President and CEO. “Many of them sacrificed seeing their own loved ones to care for ours.”
Trust Point has long emphasized giving back to its communities—in good times and bad—and has made an extra effort this year to help those affected by the pandemic. Those efforts include providing free meals for essential workers at an area restaurant and partnering with a broadcast company to raise money for gift cards to local businesses.
Recognizing there are still hard times ahead, Handel expressed ongoing support for those in today’s most critical profession.
“Our heartfelt appreciation goes out to the health care workers and those who have helped support them,” he said. “From the hospital maintenance department to the information technology department, and of course all of the doctors and nurses, we applaud you and thank you for all that you are doing.”
