Young Professionals Learn the Value of Building Relationships

The Trust Point Young Professionals met in La Crosse on February 20th, 2023 for their first quarterly event of the year. Each quarterly event features time to volunteer in the community and learn about various topics to enhance their leadership skills.

They began the day by meeting at the Myrick Park Event Center and splitting into two groups in preparation for the volunteering portion of the day. The first group went to the Terry Erickson Boys & Girls Club location and the second group traveled to the Amie L. Mathy Boys & Girls Club location. The groups assisted with cleaning parking lots, and sanitizing, organizing and cleaning books, toys, tables/chairs, windows, cubbies, and other areas within the facilities. After some rewarding volunteer work, the groups reconvened at Myrick Park to enjoy a group lunch and an icebreaker activity.

The theme of the day was relationship building. Attendees had a panel discussion with three of Trust Point’s most tenured employees, Brenda Stuhr, Brian Koopman, and Randy Van Rooyen. The panel members answered questions submitted by members of the Young Professionals group, and discussed building and maintaining relationships inside and outside of Trust Point.

After the panel discussion, the group had a networking activity where members from different departments and locations were paired to develop their conversation skills. The Young Professionals shared updates regarding their contributions to the Long Range Plan and discussed plans for 2023. The group was fortunate to end the day with a discussion with Trust Point’s CEO, Bill Bosch. Bill answered questions from the group and provided company updates.

The Trust Point’s Young Professionals (TPYP) group is comprised of Trust Point employees under the age of 35, who are dedicated to continuing Trust Point’s legacy of excellence through training, education, networking and community service.
