Supporting Our Communities

As we reflect on 2021 the best part was being back together with our communities.

Being with friends, family, and our clients.  It may have looked a little different than it used to, and it wasn’t without challenges, but renewing those connections brought so much joy to our lives.  And we want to do our part to ensure even brighter days ahead.

We have made a gift on behalf of our clients to the following organizations:

Northside Achievement Zone (NAZ) is located in Minneapolis and exists to permanently close the gap and end generational poverty in North Minneapolis.  Together with their partner organizations, including nine schools in the North Minneapolis area, they work with low-income families to improve the educational experience and support academic excellence for children to ensure every student reaches their academic potential and has a path to higher education.

The donation will be directed to their work on community wellness and behavioral health.  To read more about NAZ and the work they are doing visit https://northsideachievement.org/.

Eau Claire Education Foundation’s website wish list included a request for the ‘Join Hands Community Service Day’ at Northstar Middle School.   As active as Trust Point is in the communities we serve, this spoke to us and aligned with our own core values.  The Northstar Middle School’s Join Hands Day is held each May brings youth and adults together to work side by side while helping others in need within the community, promoting meaningful volunteerism, learning, and change-making.

The donation will help partner students with local non-profit organizations as well as for supplies.  To read more about the initiative, visit https://www.ecpsfound.org/lasting-giving/wish-lists/northstar-middle-school/.

La Crosse Public Education Foundation provides grants and funding each year to enhance learning opportunities for students in the School District of La Crosse and to promote community understanding and support for public education.  The donation will help supply new books to Hintgen Elementary School to “Change the Story.”  In their request they ask to replace old and outdated (not diverse) leveled reading books in the library to provide progressively challenging materials to help students move from one reading level to the next.

Our hope is these contributions will help teachers and staff continue their important work and keep our school children safe and learning together.

Trust Point now has more than $7.2 billion in assets under management. This growth and success means that we can have a greater impact in our communities, which is a huge part of our 100+ year history. In addition to the donations mentioned above, Trust Point has again provided resources to over 100 non-profit organizations this last year.

Thank you for continuing to trust in us and allowing us to make a difference in our communities.

We wish you happiness, peace and togetherness heading into this New Year.
