After seven years the Deke Slayton Airfest is back! Thousands of people gathered at the La Crosse airport June 12-14 to watch the stunning displays.
This years show was a little bit different with the COVID-19 pandemic still in affect. Families were able to do a drive-in style show with every car having their own space to sit outside and watch the magic happen.
The F-16 Viper Demo kicked off Deke Slayton Airfest 2021 at noon on Saturday. Perhaps the most notable performers were the U.S. Navy Blue Angels. They could be heard practicing from La Crosse to Onalaska. The employees at the La Crosse Trust Point office were able to catch a sneak peak of their performance from the roof on Thursday and Friday.
