The La Crosse Public Education Foundation (LPEF) held their annual Grants Award Luncheon at the end of January. Educators were recognized for their innovative ideas which help move the district forward and enhance learning. They also recognized businesses and individuals who provide resources and are change-makers for the school district and the community. Trust Point was honored with the LPEF Corporate Partner in Education award for efforts in the Adopt-a-School program and with involvement in other community organizations. They also appreciated the extra ‘boost’ after Kent challenged other local businesses to implement an Adopt-a-School program, and even organized a Q&A session to help start programs within their own organizations. In the last year three additional schools have been adopted and more are in the works.
“School is a place where lives can be changed.” “Any investment in our young kids can give them a chance in life. If you want to lift these kids out of repeating their circumstances, they need help.”
